Since the Restoration committee was formed in 2003, more than $30,000 has been raised to restore Hazel Dell. Maintaining the school is an on-going project. The committee continues to raise money for school repairs, artifacts, reference materials, and classroom supplies.

In the spring, the 4th grade students participate in an "afternoon in a 1-room school" as part of their WI history curriculum. Hazel Dell is also open by appointment for tours.
