STEM Challenge-6th Grade

6th grade Social Studies classes ended the year with STEM challenges.  Popsicle sticks, toothpicks, Jenga blocks, styrofoam, duct tape, plants, rubber bands, straws,  glue and many other items were transformed into structures from the ancient civilizations studied throughout the year.  The projects included ancient irrigation methods from India, Mesoamerican floating gardens, The Masada from Israel, Ziggurat Marble Run, Japanese Zen Gardens, Ancient Egyptian pyramids and a zipline down The Great Wall of China.
The creative juices were flowing and lots of learning took place! Have a great summer Panthers!
