Academic Decathlon
Academic Decathlon is a ten event competition that includes: math, science, history, economics, literature, art, music, speech, interview, and essay. Each year the competition centers on a theme. Academic Decathlon is a team competition. Each team consists of 9 students ranging in GPA. There is the Honors Division which has students with an unweighted GPA of 3.8 and above. There is the Scholastic Division which has students with an unweighted GPA of 3.2 to 3.79. There is the Varsity Division which has students with an unweighted GPA of less than 3.2. Each team needs 3 students from each GPA category above.
