Iowa-Grant Student Council
This organization serves as the governance of the student body and the promoter of school spirit at Iowa-Grant High School. Elections are held in the Spring each year for class officers/student council representatives in which any students can run for office. The student council is lead by the student body president and has an official representative to the IGSD School Board. The class presidents, secretaries, and treasurers serve the needs of their class; the class vice-president and two student council representatives serve on the student council. This group helps to organize school activities such as Homecoming, special assemblies, philanthropy projects, celebrations and promotion of school spirit, and the annual food drive. The student council also participates in many leadership opportunities both at school and through workshops and conferences.
