Best of luck to the Panther Cross Country teams tomorrow at the SWAL Conference Cross Country Meet. This year the meet is being held at Hickory Grove Golf Course just north of Fennimore. Girls race begins at 4:45, and the boys race is at 5:30. Spectators will be required to park at Fennimore High School - 510 7th Street - and utilize the provided shuttle. Shuttles will begin at 4:15pm and will run through the duration of the meet. Please prepare in advance for parking/shuttling.

The Scholastic Book Fair is here! There are so many NEW books to choose from and the choice is all yours! Families are welcome to visit the Book Fair iat IGEMS on Wednesday from 3:30-5:00 p.m. and Thursday from 3:30-7 p.m. Students can also purchase books on Thursday from 8am-3 pm. 🏐🐾Congratulations to our 2022 Inductees for the Iowa-Grant Volleyball Hall of Fame! Our inductees include Hilary (Haas) Lilla, graduate 1992; April (Nechvatal) Hancock, graduate 2001; Jaclyn (Zimmerman) Bevan, graduate 2001; and Emmalee Albers, graduate 2008. These 4 women had stellar careers as Panthers but more importantly, are successful in their careers now!! We are so happy to start up our Hall of Fame again after being off the past two years due to COVID. These 4 Panther alumni will be inducted October 13th during the Panther volleyball match with the Redbirds ~ hope to see you there!❤ Congratulations Hilary, April, Jaclyn and Emmalee! ❤

Today IGEMS students reviewed bus rules and bus safety procedures with the Southwest Bus Company. Students learned about emergency exits and the safest way to ride the bus for everyone on board. Great job IGEMS students modeling evacuation procedures and great bus behaviors.

Two UWP men's basketball players, Jack Huml and Brady Olson, paid a visit to Mrs. Boldt's classroom recently. They talked about the importance of reading, time management, and work ethic, and how it relates to their success as student athletes. Jack & Brady read the book, The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors to the class. Then, we had to have a rock, paper, scissors tournament to crown a champion. Thank you Jack & Brady for taking time out of your busy schedules to speak to our students.
