Iowa- Grant offers students a healthy breakfast everyday.

Annual Iowa-Grant Toy Drive!
Celebrate the season of giving by sharing your new or gently used toys (please no stuffed animals!) and books with the families of the Iowa-Grant School District! If your child has outgrown a toy or that toy they had to have last year has been sitting on the shelf for the last 6 months, now is the time to send it to a new home where it can be loved by another child! Please make sure toys are in good shape and have all their pieces! Toys and books can be dropped off at IGEMS from November 27th through December 7th. We also will accept things for our older students such as new blankets, jewelry, craft kits, sports equipment, card games, etc… If you are interested in sending in a monetary donation please make checks out to the Iowa-Grant School District and mark the envelope Toy Drive. This money will be used to fill some of the specific wish list items.
Any toys and books collected will be made available to families in the district who struggle financially to provide for their families during the holiday season.
Families who are in need of a Santa Sack can contact Darcy Breuer at dbreuer@igs.k12.wi.us to sign up your family. Reminder: Santa Sacks are only for families who need assistance to provide gifts for the holidays. Please include the following things in the email: your name and the best way to contact you, child(ren)’s age and gender, and a wish list of 2-3 items for each child.
Staff members will make up a “Santa sack” for your family and you will be notified when your sack is ready to pick up at the school.

The Fitnessgram Pacer Test measures a student's fitness and endurance. It is an aerobic capacity running test that gets more difficult as it continues. The students run 20 meters back and forth across a marked track keeping time with beeps that sound more quickly during each level. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves to run faster and longer each time that they attempt the test. Iowa-Grant Middle School students complete the Pacer Test every quarter in Physical Education class. Their scores of completed laps are measured each time to see improvement as the year goes on.
Middle School students did an outstanding job on their first Pacer Test of the year. Check out the impressive high scores of each grade.

Alexis T-B. has received a GOLD RATING on her Dairy Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award on the NATIONAL LEVEL! Back in June, she was the STATE WINNER in her proficiency award area. Only the state winner in each category earn the opportunity to submit their application to the National Level.
Alexis received her first Brown Swiss because she begged her dad for one after falling in love with their personality. Now, Alexis owns a herd of 100 Brown Swiss, with 70% being born on the family farm. Alexis assists in all aspects of daily care including feeding, cleaning pens, milking cows, monitoring herd health, and treating sickness. In 2019, Alexis was able to gain even further skills, as she started making the breeding decisions, keeping records, and doing registration for her herd. Additionally, Alexis provides special care to her show cattle by walking, washing, and feeding a special ration to them to ensure that they are ready for show day!
Congratulations, Alexis! We are proud of you!

It is hard to think about snow on a beautiful day like today. Thank you to the IG Parent Teacher Club for purchasing sleds for students to sled during classroom recess. Students always enjoy time on the sled hill and now IGEMS is ready for the snowy sled hill to arrive.

Thank you Fuel 4 Kids powered by Pipestone out of Stitzer for the amazing donation to Panther Packs. There will be many families that will benefit from this during the holiday season.
