Sixth graders enjoyed the day at Governor Dodge State Park yesterday. The students collected water samples and looked at organisms under microscopes, used aqua scopes to check out other plants and animals that call the lake home and went hiking. To make the day even more fun, they had a cookout, grilled by Mr. Van Overmeer and served by Mrs. Gallagher and Mr. Shimshak. What an awesome day!
Kindergarten had a wonderful morning learning what it was like to attend school in a one-room schoolhouse! Many Thanks to Mrs. Dante and Mrs. Divine for allowing us to visit Hazel Dell Schoolhouse.

4th grade is wrapping up a week of Ag in the Classroom. Thank you to Laura Daniels for interacting with our students today and showing them the many career paths that intersect with agriculture. "One in nine people working in Wisconsin hold a job related to agriculture."
The Intro to Business, Marketing, and Finance class is working on a Food Truck Business Simulation. Last week, we visited Little Wolf Farm CBD in Montfort for breakfast (breakfast steak burritos) and met with the owner, Jim Tibbetts. This week, we visited the Downtown BBQ in Platteville for lunch.
May is for field trips! 4th grade spent a great afternoon touring the Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums learning about life long ago and the mining of lead and zinc. It was so cool (literally and figuratively) to walk below the Earth's surface where mining took place a long time ago.
