Disney summer school enjoyed crafts and snacks from 4 different Disney movies. Highlights from the week included lots of Disney trivia, making Forky from Toy Story, shelling peanuts to make homemade peanut butter for Dumbo, and making duct tape roses from Beauty and the Beast. We even got to enjoy "the gray stuff", it was delicious!

Our final destinations as we traveled around the world were Germany and Brazil! While visiting Germany we learned about the animals, food, and industries of the country. We enjoyed some soft pretzels and made our own cuckoo clock. Our last stop in Brazil had us learning how to play a popular game called cat-meows, enjoying a pineapple mint drink and making our very own rain sticks.

Around the world we go! 1st and 2nd graders have been exploring different countries in summer school and so far in our travels, we have visited 3 places. Our first stop was Morocco, where we spent some time listening to their music, learning about the Sahara desert and playing a fun kick and catch Moroccan game. Our next stop was Spain, where we took a virtual trip to Barcelona, discussed bullfighting and even made our own castanets. Third stop...Mexico! When learning about Mexico we spent most of our time talking about their foods and even got to make our own guacamole! We can't wait to see where we go next!

It was another beautiful day at sea! These summer school students practiced their writing, painting, graphing, and drawing skills all while learning more about fish. We are o-FISH-ally having fun at summer school!
