GO PANTHERS!!

Last day of summer school seems like a good day to do an escape room. Students used their reading and math skills to solve puzzles. We also followed up on our gummy bears in different liquids experiment and learned about osmosis and density.

Last stop, Australia! Today we took a virtual field trip to the Australia Zoo. We learned about some of the animals at the zoo and made a fun koala bear project. We ended our day with a popular birthday party snack, fairy bread! This sweet treat is made from bread, butter and sprinkles. It was a great way to end our adventure!

During the month of July, Mrs. Hammerly stays busy visiting her FFA members and Ag students on their farms and/or ag related jobs!
Jonah W. will be Freshman this fall, and he works on his family farm caring for goats, sheep, chickens, and pheasants.
Bode B. will be a Sophomore this fall and an FFA officer. He works on his family dairy farm with milking and chores. This year he will be showing his dairy steer at the Iowa County Fair. His steer loves to eat marshmallows as a treat.
Evie W. will be a Senior this year and an FFA officer. She will also be showing a dairy steer at the Iowa County Fair. This is Evie’s first year showing dairy steers, and she is enjoying the experience and all that she is learning.
Great work to all of these students!

It was all fun and games in France today! We were inspired by Vincent Van Gogh and created our own Starry Night paintings. We also played two French games, Escargot (a snail version of hopscotch) and Jeu de la Barbichette (Game of the Goatee) where we had to try with all our might not to giggle while holding our partners chin for the duration of a short song. It was harder than we thought!

The students in the card making summer school class have been working hard and having fun. Each student has created 2-3 cards a day. Students have also enjoyed making a journal made from scrap paper and string. Tomorrow, students will make baseball cards and holiday gift tags.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel let you hair down. In fairytale summer school we helped Rapunzel escape from her tower.

Trip, trap, trip, trap... today we engineered bridges to go along with our fairytale The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
