Mrs. Hammerly's Food Science Classes are now professional applesauce canners. They have been learning the proper techniques to preserve food by freezing, canning, and dehydrating. They made 23 jars of applesauce and students will be able to take them home and share it with their family and friends.
Thank you to everyone who purchased fruit, cheese, nuts, and cheese from the Iowa-Grant FFA Program. We sold and sorted over $14,500 in orders. All proceeds help offset contest fees, conference and travel expenses, and classroom supplies. THANK YOU!
The December Band and Choir Concert is coming up soon! This concert features a performance of the Hallelujah Chorus with members of our community in the Choir. if you'd like to join the community choir, please come to the high school choir room at 6:00 pm for a brief rehearsal! The concert begins at 7:00 in the high school gym. See you there!
An edge of your seat rematch between Prairie du Chien and Iowa-Grant/Highland wrestlers. Just like the week before it came down to the final match to decide a winner. PdC won in a sudden victory to end the dual score 33-32.
Congratulations to the Iowa-Grant/Highland Wrestlers and the Coaches for giving us a great day of wrestling. IGH ended the day placing 2nd behind PdC.
Friday after school the student council elves along with some holly jolly staff members packed the Santa Sacks! We would like to thank our community members for their generous donations of toys, books, and money which once again made this program a huge success! We were able to pack bags for over 50 students in our district to help ensure that everyone has gifts under the tree!
Did you attend the 1st ever Holiday Light Parade in Montfort? If so, you may have spotted some of the band members! We were COLD, but happy to try something new!
Biology students worked together as a class to simulate the process of being the different molecules and enzymes in the process of photosynthesis. Each person played an important role in the process and together they were able to see how each piece of the process works together to achieve the end goal of creating glucose.
The Panther Packs Program would like to thank the 4K Superstars for their donation of food items to the program. The class donated over 85 items to help students in our school have healthy foods to eat on the weekends! Thank you for your generosity Superstars!
