Balancing birds, mug cakes, spinners, marshmallow launchers, pearler bead magnets, decorated folders, oh my! We were creative and had fun this week in make it and take it!

LEGOS, LEGOS, everywhere! So far in our LEGO class we have completed LEGO logic puzzles, made a LEGO bridge, created LEGO secret codes and constructed a LEGO car and garage with our partner using only one hand!

Summer school students in the class, "A Book a Day," 📚"bear"ly 🐻had enough time to get through all of our bear books by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman!
📕"Bear's Loose Tooth" inspired us to make tooth pillows to store our baby teeth! 🦷
📘Then, we enjoyed a yummy treat while we listened to "Bear Wants More"-a story about Bear eating after hibernation. We sure had some hungry bears in the classroom! 🐻
📙Finally, "Bear Says Thanks" reminded us of the importance of saying "thank you." Students picked a person to thank for making their summer great!😎
🐾Keep listening to stories and reading, Panthers! 🐾

📚Read, read, read! That's exactly what we intend to do this week in summer school. Today was all about Pete the Cat books!
📕Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses- Students crafted a 3D cat and had the option to add "cool, blue, magic" sunglasses.🕶️
📙Pete the Cat Crayons Rock- Students decorated a crayon box to take home.🖍️
📘Pete the Cat and the Cool Cat Boogie- We had a dance party! 🪩
Reading sure can inspire us to use our creativity!🎶🎨

Today we read books about pets! Pets can be our best friends, but we need to be gentle and responsible with our pets.
📕First, we read "Some Pets" by Angela Diterlizzi and Brendan Wendell. We learned what animals make good pets and what equipment we might need to help take care of these pets.🐈
📘Next, we dove into the story "The Pigeon Wants a Puppy!" by Mo Willems. It's a big decision to take on a puppy or any pet, so students filled out some pet certification paperwork for their new pet toys!🐶
📙Finally, students enjoyed playing and acting like pet owners and veterinarians.
❤️We love to read and play together!

Special thank you to Community First Bank of Livingston and to all the community members who support our FFA Program time and time again. This donation was made possible from community members purchasing "cows" in June and the kind donations during the cattlemen steak feed hosted at the bank this summer.
