County Fair Spotlight #2 Evie W. is a fifth year member of the Red Barn 4-H Club and third year member of the Iowa-Grant FFA Chapter where she serves as the Sentinel. Evie exhibited 4 Brown Swiss animals - Winnie, Vanna, Toodles, and Rosebud - at the Iowa County Fair. Her March Calf, Winnie, got first in her class along with Reserve Junior Champion. Vanna, her fall calf, received first place, best owned, and Junior Champion. Her Spring Yearling, Toodles, got second in her class and best owned. Rosebud was in the aged cow class and received first blue, Reserve Senior Champion, and Overall Brown Swiss Reserve Champion. Evie placed in the middle of her class for showmanship in her age division. Evie's favorite part about showing is witnessing all of her hardwork and long hours pay off in the showring. She also enjoys the memories being made with friends. Evie would like to thank Mrs. Bindl for providing her the opportunity to show her animals. She would also like to thank her parents for supporting her with her passion for showing dairy cattle and the time commitment it takes.

County Fair Spotlight #1 Kaycee L. is a sixth year member of the Rewey Lucky Stars 4-H Club and a first year member of the Iowa-Grant FFA Chapter. Kaycee took two animals to the Iowa County Fair. She exhibited an Angus heifer named Emma and a Hereford steer named Sammy. Her heifer was third overall and her steer was fifth overall. She also participated in showmanship and won the intermediate age group. Kaycee's favorite part of showing at the fair is showmanship because she is judged on her relationship with her animal and how she cares for it. Kaycee would like to thank Leix Farm for purchasing her animal at the Iowa County Fair Auction.

Iowa-Grant's Staff's School & Community Service Day: What a crew! Mrs. Rachel Carlson, Ms. Katie Wanie, Mr. Chris Rear, Mr. Brian Zwick, Mrs. Heather Gile, Ms. Jennifer Leeser, and Ms. Sarah Piper formed a team to add some art and encouragement to the middle school bathrooms! We want our middle schoolers to remember they have what it takes to work hard, stay positive, be kind, and never stop learning. In the afternoon, Heather and Katie continued adding some color to the bathrooms in the kindergarten and 3rd/4th grade hallways.
